Day 1 Bucharest

Arrival on International Airport of Bucharest, meeting at the airport with English speaking guide, transfer to the hotel for check in.

Day 2 Bucharest

Breakfast; we start our day visiting Mogosoaia Palace which was built between 1698-1702 by Constantin Brâncoveanu in the so called Romanian Renaissance style or the “Brâncovenesc style”, a combination of  Venetian and Oriental elements, then we visit the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum, an open-air ethnographic museum located in the Herăstrău Park which shows traditional Romanian village life. Optional lunch at “Beraria H”(not included), the largest pub in S-E Europe, free time for shopping, then dinner at the famous restaurant “Carul Cu Bere” in the old city center of Bucharest, and accommodation.

Day 3 Bucharest – Sinaia – Bran

In the morning, after breakfast and check-out, we go to Sinaia, one of the main summer and winter resorts in Romania. Our first stop will be Chindia Tower, a tower in the Curtea Domnească monuments ensemble in Târgovişte; arrival in Sinaia visit of “Peles Castle”, world's first castle fully powered by locally produced electricity and former residence of the royal family of Romania. We continue by bus to Busteni to visit Cantacuzino Castle, built by one of the greatest architects of the time, Grigore Cerchez, at the request of prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, Departure for Bran, dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 Bran – Brasov- Fagaras – Sibiu

Breakfast, visit of Bran Castle, worldwide known as “Dracula’s Castle”, a famous fortress of the 14th century; en route, we visit  Rupea Castle, one of the oldest archeological sites in Romania. We continue our medieval tour of Romania with Fagaras Fortress in Transylvania, an impressive stronghold, originally built in 1310 and expanded from the 15 th to the 17 th century to create a square castle surrounded by a wall with five towers. Then we go to Sibiu for dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 Sibiu – Alba Iulia – Deva - Hunedoara

Breakfast, a short walk tour of Sibiu city center and we leave for Alba Iulia to visit Alba Iulia Fortress, a massive 18th century fortification which forms the heart of this Romanian town. After that, we head to the fortress of Deva, located at the top of  a volcano in the Poiana Ruscă Mountain Range in the Western Carpathian Mountains of Romania; dinner and accommodation in Hunedoara.

Day 6 Hunedoara – Pitesti

Breakfast, then we visit Corvin Castle, also known as  Hunyad Castle, built mainly in Gothic style, but also with renaissance architectural elements; departure for Pitesti, en route, we visit the Lainici and Polovraci Monasteries. Our journey will take us to most beautiful road across Jiu river; dinner and accommodation in Pitesti.

Day 7 Pitesti – Bucuresti

Breakfast, departure for Bucharest and transfer to the airport according to flight schedule.
